Mechanical properties lab evaluation
abrasion Resistance Test
|
Standard: SY/T 0315-97
|
Principle: Using sand defined by SY/T 0315-97 to impact coating at certain distance and angle, then measure the thickness of the coating before and after erosion, the definition of abrasion Resistance can be described as value by littler of sand consumed to reduce 1μm thickness of coating
|
Purpose:To evaluate coatings' capability of abrasion Resistance
|
Requirement:≥2.0(1/μm)
|
Result: MPS:25.0-40.0
PC/DPC/TK:l.76-6.2
TC2000T:2.26

MPS Adhesion evaluation
 |
The V type check of coating adhesion has classified into 5 categories: no loss of adhesion, slight loss, medium loss, severe loss and complete peel off.
As a thermoplastic material and an metal adhesive itself, MPS has much better adhesion than thermo-set coatings, it features better harsh environment corrosion protection and becomes a better choice after adding other nano particles to enhance its mechanical and hydraulic performance.
The adhesion and its evaluation are the key to coating performance, there are three criteria accepted by oil and gas industry, the SY/T 0544-2004 is the common one and NACE TM0185-93 is the most difficult one to achieve by any coating material, all our third party inspection are using this criterion to evaluate adhesion. And MPS evaluated by various tests has been achieved a outstanding performance.
Criterion: SY/T0544-2004
Criterion: GB/T9286-88
Criterion: NACE TM0185-93(V type)
Evaluate coating to stand sharp deforming capability
Impact Resistance Test
 |
By standard of GB/T1732-93, the numbers shown on the coupons above are impacting energy levels, MPS can stand the 50cmkg impacts and the epoxy coatings can only stand 5cmkg impacts. |
